Pistol lock and display system

ABSTRACT
This invention locks a pistol through its magazine feed. The lock shapes just like a pistol ammo magazine and can be insert into a pistol.
When lock, the lock can’t be withdraw from pistol so no ammo can be feed into pistol. It can also stop pistol’s slide from moving. When lock
attach to a display stand, it can display a pistol while locking it.
Summary
Pistol lock is a safety device that stops un-rightful person to access the firearm. Existing locking devices like trigger lock or cable lock won’t
do any good for display. This invention is designed to safely lock a pistol while preserving the look for display purpose.
The lock is shaped like a pistol magazine. It can be attached to a display stand vie screws. Its key access is from below the lock (or stand).

Locking is through lock tongue sticks out against engraved slot on pistol frame that stops lock body being removed outside of pistol.
Engraved slot on pistol frame is common on many pistols to save weight. (See Fig 2) Which prevent feeding ammo into pistol. Also a lock
hole in pistol slide can be used to lock the slide from moving out.
There are total three locking choices selected by three positions of a locking bolt. (See Fig 3) This bolt can be adjusted on the side of lock
tube. Which can’t be reached when the lock is inserted inside of pistol. Therefore once pistol is locked, the locking position can’t be altered.
When the bolt is fully retrieved inside the lock tube. In this mode, only the ammo feed is locked; pistol slide is still free to move. This mode
maintains the ability to show the inside of a pistol, but isn’t 100% safe.
The second mode is stealth mode. In this mode, the locking bolt sticks out the magazine tube just enough to enter the lock hole inside pistol
slide. (See fig 4) Clear pistol before apply this lock. Once locked, both pistol slide and ammo feed is locked. For pistol that doesn’t have a
lock hole in the slide. The rode is spring load and can be suppressed just as for the lock to be inserted into gun. However, when slide is
pulled, the rode will pop out and stop the slide from closing again.
The third mode is obvious mode. In this mode, the locking bolt stick out far enough to interfere with slide movement. (See Fig 5) To lock in
this mode, fix pistol slide to open position before insert the lock tube. Once locked, pistol slide can’t be closed and of course no ammo can
be fed.
